This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career as a technician and gain new skills in a specialised field working with ESP equipment at our site Wytch Farm, Dorset.

As a trainee position, the primary focus of this position will be to assist the ESP team with a focus on delivering a high-quality ESP installation and retrieval service and completions support. You will also have the opportunity to enrol in further study (HNC).

This position will operate on a Monday to Friday basis, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Pre-use checking and testing of ESP and associated equipment
• Maintain a full inventory of equipment and tooling to Install and pull ESPs
• Liaise with rig crew on equipment handling and method of deployment
• Ensure correct operation of Cable Spooler and associated ESP equipment, required for deployment of the ESP system
• Build up and retrieval of the various configurations of ESP and related equipment as per procedures
• Carry out initial trouble shooting during retrieval and installation
• Maintain records and complete Run and Pull reports
• Prepare equipment for back loading in a safe and secure manner
• Participate in all client driven safety initiatives
• Perform pre-job toolbox talks and review risk assessments for the current tasks
• Developing the skills of the assigned Rig crew do be able to participate in the deployment and retrieval of ESP equipment
• Assist with the preparation of Completion Equipment
• Assist with the building and testing of downhole equipment
• Maintain the inventory of Wytch Farm Mobile tools (WFs)
• Carry out and pressure testing and maintain records of Thorough Lifting Inspections

Safety & Environmentally Critical Tasks:

Performing Authority (Permit to Work)
This role is responsible for the activity being carried out under the WCC, ensuring that the tasks execution complies with the Safe Systems of Work procedure (PUK-SMS-OWC-029)

Safety & Environmentally Critical Courses:

• Manual handling
• Task Based Risk Assessment (Level 2)

Key Requirements Include:

Qualifications:
• Completed a time served trade apprenticeship to at least Level 3 qualification.
• HNC/HND in Mechanical related discipline or desire to undertake further study to obtain qualification
• Lifting & Slinging to level Rigger 1 (desired)
• Qualified to drive forklift (desired)

Experience:
• Mechanical / Electrical /Hydraulic understanding
• P2W competence (Control of Work System)
