This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of our IT team. Reporting directly to the UK IT Manager, this position provides an essential support role for a variety of business critical applications and databases that support 24/7 onshore and offshore operations.

Strong database skills are required in MS SQL Server and Oracle along with experience of supporting front and back end server application technologies. Experience is also required in VMware ESXi, Microsoft Server OS and Linux OS. You will develop and maintain close working relationships with a small team in Norwich as well as with members of the Group HQ IT department based in London and Paris. You will also work with 3rd party support and project managers along with business users.

This role is predominantly based in Norwich with occasional travel to our Bacton terminal and London office. There will be a requirement to participate in a team on-call rota for business critical events.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support for OpenText EDMS. Current ongoing project work and daily support function of our Electronic Document Management system. Liaising with internal users and 3rd party support.
• Ownership and maintenance of MS SQL and Oracle databases and database servers ensuring maximum service levels and protection.
• Oracle database administration and Websphere administration of IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management system used for maintenance of systems across all our UK sites. Liaising with internal users and 3rd party support. Supporting integration of Maximo with other custom applications.
• Supporting a variety of bespoke, 3rd party supported web applications and backend databases ensuring maximum service levels and protection.
• Primary contact for Permit-2-Work application, liaising with 3rd party support for general support issues and ongoing updates.

• Windows Shell scripting
• Unix administration
