Position description :
Perenco is a leading independent Oil & Gas company operating across the globe. This unique opportunity is available in our UK subsidiary which is one of the largest gas operators in the Southern North Sea. This position is responsible for the provision of safety engineering support to the SNS operation and projects. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with UK QSHE legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards and best practice. This role is based at our Norwich office, working Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Include: Carry out competent in-house safety studies in support of PUK operations and projects including but not limited to following: • Charing and facilitating safety studies such as Total Risk Management, HAZID, Bowtie, ALARP • Development of Barrier Diagrams (Bowties) • Consequence modelling using DNV GL PHAST or Gexcon FLACS • Hydraulics analysis on firewater system using Pipenet • Mini Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) including Event and Fault Tree development • Hazardous Area Classification • Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment • Smoke and Gas Ingress Analysis • Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Assessment • Occupied Building Risk Assessment • Firewater System Design Upgrade • Safety Case Material Change Assessment Preparing the scope of requirements, commissioning, managing and reviewing technical safety studies from competent contractors in support of operations and projects including but not limited to following: • QRA and Cost Benefit Analysis • Quantitative/Qualitative Safety Critical System Impairment Assessment • Provide safety engineering support for asset modification proposals and identify the appropriate safety studies that should be completed. • Engage with operations and projects to ensure that all necessary regulatory requirements and approved codes of practice are identified, permits obtained, and conditions complied with. • Provide coaching, guidance and advice to operations, engineering and other support teams to ensure compliance with applicable legislation such as COMAH, OSDR/SCR, PFEER, DSEAR, DCR, PSR and PSSR. • Maintain current in changes to HSE legislations, codes, guidelines and industry standards, interpreting these changes and assisting in the development of actions to meet such requirements. • Developing philosophies, strategies, procedures and guidelines for implementing above requirements • Provide support to others within the team to ensure PUK requirements under Safety Case Regulations (SCR) and COMAH Regulations are achieved, including maintenance of documentation up to date and providing support and input to the periodic reviews (i.e. SCR Thorough Review Programme and COMAH 5-yearly resubmission). • Identifying opportunities and efficiencies to improve overall safety standards and performance throughout the SNS Operation

Qualifications: Higher technical qualification in engineering field i.e. Process Safety, Chemical or Mechanical. Chartered in mechanical, chemical/process engineering is desirable Experience: 2-5 years' experience in Safety Engineering in Oil & Gas Industry. Experience in both design and operation is desirable. Position description :
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to be an integral part of a multi-skilled team working at our Wytch Farm facility near Corfe Castle, Wareham, Dorset. Wytch Farm produces from 12 remote well sites, via infield flow lines to a central oil & gas gathering station, where separation, stabilisation, water injection, gas compression/drying/fractionation, oil export, power generation, sales gas export, LPG storage and LPG export takes place. We are currently seeking an Instrument Technician who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and operational testing of instrument related equipment and systems to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe operation of our production facility. This role operates on a rotational pattern of 4 X 10.5 hour shifts – 06:45/17:15 (starting alternately on a Monday then Tuesday). The working pattern during projects and shutdowns may change and overtime may be required as circumstances dictate. Key Responsibilities Include: Working within a multi-disciplined team to safely operate and maintain our Wytch Farm oilfield within the operational and maintenance procedures. Maximising the plant availability in the processing of oil received from our various well sites • Maintenance to be completed using the company standards and procedures. • Complete scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities on the following: o Safety Systems, Fire & Gas Systems, Flow Measurement Systems o Pressure, Temperature and Level Control o Gas Detection o DCS Systems o Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems • Develop and review operational and maintenance procedures • Completion of Maximo work orders and ensure generation of new work requests to highlight plant and equipment failure • Raise relevant permits within the agreed time period to ensure that maintenance is completed in an efficient manner. • Provide assistance for projects, working with vendors and sub-contractors as required • Comply with the requirements of Change Management policies e.g. Plant Modifications Proposals • Employ Perenco Observation Safety Techniques (POST) to report safe and unsafe acts • Actively participate in a responsible waste management system • Attend and participate in the Operations shift meetings • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to and actively promoted at all times There are a number of Safety Critical Tasks that you will be made aware of and systems you will be required to competently operate

Position description :
Working as part of the operations team your primary role will be to safely operate the site and prepare for maintenance activities within the operational and maintenance procedures, and to carry out site checks and report any inconsistencies to the Lead Tech/Operations Site Controller. Duties include monitoring, control, and optimisation of the gathering station process operations and well sites to meet HSE and production targets. First line response in emergency situations, support of maintenance and engineering activities. This role operates on a regular shift pattern of 7 x 12 hour days, 3 off, 7 x 12 hour nights, 18 off. There will be 15 contracted shifts to be worked during the year out with the rotated pattern. Key Responsibilities Include: HSE Performance • Conduct audits and safety inputs in line with personal safety commitments • Act as front-line emergency response contact • Receive, record, and inform Site Manager and Operations Site Controller of any reported incidents. • Monitor safety systems status and report defects/faults. • Maintain a good working knowledge of safety, operational and emergency response procedures and know how to locate relevant procedures as the need arises. • Minimise unplanned losses to atmosphere. • Report any unsafe plant conditions or equipment operating outside its design envelope to the Operations Site Controller • Application and monitoring of overrides. • Call out of OSC and IMT and coordination of ESD and EDP systems and initiation of site muster. Production • Monitor plant performance using trends, respond to alarms appropriately and make adjustments to optimise production throughput and plant efficiency. • Front line fault/alarm/trip investigation • Highlight any unusual process deviations or support requests to Operations Site Controller in timely manner. • Accurately report the previous days production figures to the Operations Site Controller • Proactively look at ways of improving operations and discuss options with Operations Site Controller. Chase actions to closure • Ensure plant operations remain within defined operational limits Process Safety and Integrity Management • Start-up/shutdown of plant and equipment in line with approved operating procedures • Maintain up to date override log. • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to contribute to continuous improvement of asset Planning • Participate in kick off and scoping meetings for activities as requested by the Operations Site Controller • Participate in risk assessments for up and coming work to identify key issues up front • Enquire about priorities with Operations Site Controller if activity requests clash. • Become competent in the Area Authority role.

Safety & Environmentally Critical Tasks There are a number of Safety Critical Tasks that you will be made aware of and systems you will be required to competently operate Skills & Experience Required: • At least 5 years’ experience as a production technician or equivalent. • A recognised process apprenticeship would be desirable but not essential. • A good level of basic education, especially Math’s, Science and computer literacy is essential. • Extensive knowledge of control room equipment and site emergency response procedures. Behaviours: • Good communication and organization skills. • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and remain calm during stressful situations particularly emergencies and plant upsets. • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and respond effectively to dynamically changing situations. • Able to work with others using a variety of influencing skills to avoid conflict and must be able to give clear and concise summaries of a situation and share information at all levels. • Well-developed fault-finding capabilities and able to recognise risks, hazards, losses and suggest solutions to prevent conflicts between activities.
